Our Exceptional Care Teams

At Silverthorne Care, we believe that outstanding care begins with dedicated people. Our compassionate and highly trained team is at the heart of everything we do, providing personalised support that ensures every resident feels valued, comfortable, and well cared for.

Experienced Professionals,
Compassionate Care

At Silverthorne Care, our team is made up of skilled and dedicated professionals who bring both experience and a genuine passion for caring for others. From our care assistants to our wider support team, every member plays an important role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Each individual is carefully chosen for their compassion, empathy, and commitment to maintaining dignity and respect, ensuring every resident feels supported, understood, and truly at home.

The Ferndale Team

Our team at Ferndale combines experience, specialised training, and a fun-loving attitude.

With over 30 years of experience in the care sector, Emma brings a wealth of knowledge and a deeply personal commitment to her role as Home Manager at Ferndale. She is highly qualified, holding a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, and has a particular passion for dementia care.

Having previously managed large-scale premium services, Emma joined the Ferndale family to focus on delivering high-quality, person-centred support in a more intimate, community-focused setting. For Emma, care is about more than just safety; it’s about enriching the lives of our residents every day and ensuring Ferndale feels like home from the moment they arrive.

The Oaks Team

Each team member at The Oaks is a vital and valued part of a true community of care.

Fun-loving and friendly, our professionals are also caring and devoted,
and take the time to get to know residents and their loved ones and
build genuine relationships.

Julie brings an extraordinary 38 years of experience to her role as Registered Manager at The Oaks. Her extensive career spans hospital settings, community care, and hospice environments, as well as time spent with older persons' mental health teams - giving her a uniquely well-rounded perspective on the complexities of elderly care.

Having returned to lead The Oaks in 2023, Julie is deeply committed to the well-being of our community. She is driven by a genuine passion for making a tangible difference in our residents' daily lives, ensuring that every individual receives the compassionate, specialist support they deserve. For Julie, the heart of her role is creating an environment where residents feel truly valued and at home.

- Steve Director

“I’m committed to supporting the whole team at Ferndale to deliver outstanding care in a compassionate, bespoke manner. We are not a large, hotel-like institution but a home-from-home that older people will instantly feel comfortable in. I’ve worked in care for the last ten years and take great satisfaction from helping those with dementia and their families. I’m extremely proud of the team and the difference they have made to so many local families who were previously struggling
at home without specialist
dementia care.”
